Yamaha has supported the Japanese guitar industry since its early days.
The company has several models considered classics, but the BB series in particular is a renowned series loved by many bassists worldwide.
This is the BB234.
Although it's a lower-priced line, it's manufactured in Indonesia with extremely high quality.
The body is alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
A classic combination with a rich midrange.
The pickups have been replaced with EMG GZR PJ pickups.
Consequently, the electronic components such as pots and jacks have also been replaced with those included with the pickups.
All the knobs have also been replaced.
The bridge has been replaced with a GOTOH 203B-4, and the tuners with GOTOH GB2-L4 tuners.
It features a unique sound characterized by the coexistence of a thick low-mid range and sharp high frequencies produced by the PJ layout.
This guitar has the potential to excel in a wide range of genres, including rock and pop.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show some minor scratches, but no noticeable damage.
The electronics are in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with an EMG GZR PJ set. Accordingly, the potentiometers, jacks, and other electronic components have also been replaced with those included with the pickups. All knobs have also been replaced. The bridge has been replaced with a GOTOH 203B-4, and the tuners with GOTOH GB2-L4.
