The quality of their guitars and basses is extremely high, and they have gained strong support not only from Marcus Miller fans but also from a wider audience.
This is the V7 Vintage Alder-4, part of their latest "New Generation" lineup.
While inspired by 1970s Jazz Basses, it incorporates features geared towards modern players, such as active circuitry, Luminlay construction, and lightweight hardware.
The body is made of alder, while the neck and fingerboard are made of roasted maple.
The combination of the well-balanced tone characteristic of alder and the clear, responsive feel of the roasted maple is impressive.
The fingerboard features a 7.25-inch radius, retaining a feel reminiscent of a vintage Jazz Bass.
Furthermore, the edgeless finish on the fingerboard edges reduces snagging when gripping the neck, allowing for smooth fingering.
This guitar features a newly designed Marcus Vintage-J Revolution Pickup set.
While retaining the tight, clear attack characteristic of 70s JBs, the responsiveness of the Roasted Maple body contributes to a well-defined sound.
Furthermore, it has been fitted with a HUMPBACK engineering 2x2 preamp.
Based on a vintage-style look and feel, this is a highly practical 4-string JB type guitar that incorporates modern playability and sound shaping features.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
