G&L is known as a brand founded by Leo Fender, following Fender and Music Man.
It is favored by many bassists, including Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith) and Murphy Karges (Sugar Ray). (Titles omitted)
This is the L-2000 Tribute Series, one of G&L's flagship models.
The Tribute Series, while produced in Indonesia, inherits G&L's design philosophy.
Its appeal lies in its powerful sound and versatile tone-shaping capabilities, characteristic of the L-2000, at an accessible price point.
The body is made of Swamp Ash, the neck is Hard Rock Maple, and the fingerboard is Rosewood.
It is equipped with two G&L Magnetic Field Design humbuckers.
One potentiometer has been replaced.
It can produce a thick, powerful sound, and depending on the settings, it can also produce a clear, articulate tone.
Furthermore, a major feature of the L-2000 is its versatile control system, which combines three mini-switches.
In addition to the pickup selector, the pickup wiring can be switched between series and parallel.
The preamp also offers three modes: treble boost, active, and passive.
It also features a 2-band EQ, allowing you to significantly change the sound character depending on the settings, even with the same pickup configuration.
You can use it simply in passive mode, or actively shape your sound by utilizing the active circuitry.
This is a very versatile guitar, capable of handling a wide range of sounds, from powerful rock tones to clear, well-defined tones.
The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck shows a slight back-bow twist on the 4th string side. The 1st string bridge is set too low, so the string height is adjusted to 2.8mm-2.3mm.
The body and paintwork show fine scratches and minor dents throughout. The electronics are in good condition.
One potentiometer has been replaced.
