Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand with top-tier musicians like Marcus Miller and Will Lee as clients.
Previously, the Metroline Series was manufactured in Japan, but now it's produced by Warwick in Germany.
Roger Sadowsky has stated that Warwick is the ideal factory among the many factories worldwide.
The brand offers several lines at different price points, but this is the top-of-the-line Master Build/Custom Shop model.
It lives up to its name with its superb quality.
For example, the precision of the back panel, the spring mechanism for easy opening, and the sponge under the pickups—not only are the woods of high quality used, but you can also feel the care and attention to detail for the user in key areas.
The MB24 is a bass with a modern style and 24 frets.
This is a special model custom-ordered by GIB.
The basic design of this modern-style bass is by Roger Sadowsky.
Because the distance between the neck pickup and the end of the fretboard is shorter with 24 frets, the neck pickup is positioned somewhat closer to the bridge.
He told me that because the sound becomes sharper due to the change in pickup position, the type of pickup was changed to a soapbar type to balance it out.
The body top is made of Buckeye Burl.
It features a matching headstock, making it very luxurious.
The body back is made of Swamp Ash.
The neck and fretboard are made of Maple.
The quality of the wood is top-notch.
The hardware is uniformly black.
The body finish is a natural matte that highlights the wood grain.
The sound has a wide frequency range, with well-balanced string vibrations designed from top to bottom, and this is output by high-quality Sadowsky pickups and preamp.
