Bacchus is a Japanese brand based in Nagano.
It's a brand under the Deviser umbrella, which owns a large guitar factory called the Asuka Factory. The high quality, stemming from the factory's in-house production, is highly regarded by many musicians.
Bacchus has several series, but this one is from their top-of-the-line HANDMADE SERIES.
Currently, the model numbers are almost uniformly under the WOODLINE designation, but at the time, there were various model numbers.
This STANDARD model is a JB-style guitar equipped with an active circuit.
The body is made of ash, the neck is maple, and the fretboard is jacaranda.
The body and neck are bound, giving it an elegant look.
The pickups have been replaced with DiMarzio Ultra Jazz pickups.
The preamp has also been replaced.
The bridge is a GOTOH, an early model.
It features the extremely smooth playability characteristic of Bacchus.
While offering a smooth response, it delivers a powerful sound thanks to its excellent electronics.
It's a pleasure to play, and this kind of instrument makes you want to play for long periods of time.
The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show overall signs of use, with scattered scratches and dents. Original pickguard screw holes are visible. The metal parts show some tarnishing, and the body has overall paint peeling and discoloration.
The electronics are in good condition.
The pickups have been replaced with DiMarzio pickups. The pickguard has been modified. All knobs have been replaced. The strap pins have been replaced with Jim Dunlop ones.
