This instrument is a Telecaster Bass, a model that holds a unique place in Fender's history.

The body is likely made of ash, and the neck is a one-piece maple.

The rugged slab body, without any elbow contouring or other modifications, is covered in impressive weather checking and paint peeling.

It has a fantastic look that conveys the strength of a guitar that has survived harsh conditions.

The potentiometers have been replaced, and the date stamp on the neck end is faded and illegible, making it difficult to determine the exact age from the date alone.

Looking at the hardware specifications, we can see features typical of this era, such as a three-bolt neck joint, a large humbucking pickup positioned very close to the neck end, a Micro-Tilt mechanism, and a Bullet Nut that allows for truss rod adjustment at the headstock.

The serial number on the joint plate, which is stamped with an "F," is "352677."

According to the Fender official website, serial numbers in the 300,000 range are associated with instruments manufactured around 1971-1973, so we believe this instrument was also manufactured around the same time.

The pickups are the aforementioned original large humbucking pickups.

They produce an overwhelmingly warm and massive, ultra-deep bass sound.

It's somewhat similar in nuance to a Precision Bass with the tone knob turned all the way down.

Furthermore, a PB-type pickup has been added near the center of the body.

As expected of a PB-type pickup, it has a clear, thick, and punchy sound.

Combining these elements results in a sound that retains the warmth of the neck pickup while boosting the midrange for a more open tone.

Compared to a standard Telecaster Bass, it has a more modern feel.

This bass boasts a unique personality in both its looks and sound.

The frets have approximately 50% remaining.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck has a slight upward bow and a slight twist with a tendency for the G string to bow forward. With the string height adjusted to 2.5mm for the G string and 3.0mm for the E string at the 12th fret, it is playable without any problems.

The body and paintwork have a vintage look with overall weather checking, paint chipping, and discoloration.

The electronics are in good condition.

A PB-type pickup and pickup selector have been added. The potentiometers have also been replaced accordingly. It is possible that the frets and nut have been replaced. The fret leveling appears to have been done. There is a crack near the neck end of the pickguard.
