This is the Jabba model, a more advanced version of the traditional JB bass.

The body features a meticulously crafted laminate construction with a richly expressive Eye Poplar top, Wenge middle section, and Profiled Swamp Ash back.

The neck is made of Maple, and the fingerboard is made of Pau Ferro.

The pickups are the optional Aguilar AG xJ-70 Alnico V calibrated set.

It features a bright and punchy tone based on the 70s JB sound.

The preamp is the Mayones original M-BP3.

It has a very clear and straightforward character, allowing for a wide range of sound shaping without compromising the quality of the original tone.

Furthermore, while it can be switched to passive mode via a toggle switch, the difference in sound between active and passive modes is designed to be very minimal.

The most distinctive feature of this instrument is its excellent body balance, similar to a traditional JB, combined with a wide tonal range thanks to its 24 frets.

Generally, 24-fret JBs tend to have a sound that is too tight, but this instrument seems to maintain a classic sound.

The deep cutaway and the unique contouring applied to the smooth joint provide extremely good access to the high frets, resulting in ultra-smooth playability.

The sound is appealing with its pleasant compression, solid bass, and clear, articulate midrange.

While offering a light playing feel, it produces a robust, harmonically rich, organic, and beautiful sound.

This is a highly refined instrument that brilliantly incorporates the practicality and design demanded by modern players while building upon the charm of a traditional JB.

The frets have approximately 80% remaining.

The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed.
