Previously, the Metroline Express was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over the distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing shifted to a factory in China.
While keeping the selling price down, high quality is maintained, making it a very unique product in its price range.
This is a 6-string model from the new MX series.
It features a 24-fret design with an Okoume body and a Roasted Maple neck and fingerboard.
It adopts the standard specifications of the MX series.
The design thoroughly pursues body balance and sound projection, resulting in a 6-string bass that is less stressful to hold and provides natural playability.
The back of the neck has a satin finish for a smooth feel.
The back panel opens and closes without tools, similar to Warwick.
Furthermore, meticulous attention to detail is evident throughout, including copper foil tape shielding inside the cavity.
The pickups are original soapbar type, and the preamp employs the familiar 2-band boost EQ.
This preamp boasts a design comparable to that of the top-of-the-line models, achieving sound quality that surpasses its price range.
Controls include volume, balance, treble, and bass.
The bass knob's push/pull operation bypasses the active circuitry, allowing for passive play.
The powerful and clear sound has a slightly more flamboyant character than recent NYC models, and many will likely prefer this sound alone.
Combining high playability and practicality as a 6-string bass, this instrument boasts a level of perfection that exceeds its price.
