Previously, the Metroline Express was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over the distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing shifted to a factory in China.

While keeping the selling price down, high quality is maintained, making it a very unique product in its price range.

This instrument is the new 6-string bass, the MX24 MS6.

While a 6-string model is somewhat unusual for Sadowsky, it is finished with a refined balance.

The body is made of lightweight solid Okoume, the neck is made of roasted maple, and the fingerboard is made of Morado (Pau Ferro) with 24 frets.

This is a standard combination for the MX series.

The body balance and sound projection have been thoroughly considered, and despite being a 6-string instrument with considerable mass, the design is remarkably comfortable to hold.


The back of the neck has a satin finish, providing a smooth and pleasant feel.

The control cavity back panel, like other Warwick products, features a one-touch opening and closing mechanism that requires no screws.

Looking inside, the entire surface is meticulously shielded with copper foil tape, resulting in an incredibly noise-free environment.

The pickups are Sadowsky passive soapbar type pickups positioned in a modern configuration.

The preamp features the familiar 2-band EQ.

Bass and treble frequencies can be significantly boosted with simple adjustments.

The circuit board of this preamp is almost identical to that of top-of-the-line models priced around 1 million yen.

These points are extremely significant advantages when choosing the MX series.

Controls include volume, balance, bass, and treble.

A push-pull switch allows you to bypass the active circuit and play passively.

The sound shines through, thanks to the excellent compatibility between the 6-string configuration and the Sadowsky preamp.

The crystal-clear, transparent tone on the high end, free from any harshness or piercing, and the rich yet clear resonance of the Low-B string are exceptional.

The thick, weighty neck, characteristic of multi-string basses, adds a slightly dark nuance to the acoustic sound. However, this, combined with Sadowsky's signature clear and punchy preamp, creates a beautifully balanced sound from low to high frequencies, producing a superb synergistic effect.

It doesn't have an overly exaggerated scooped midrange; rather, it boasts a refined and well-balanced tone character reminiscent of top-tier boutique basses.

Achieving this level of quality at this price point is no easy feat.

In the limited selection of 6-string basses in this price range, this is undoubtedly a strong contender.
