Bottom Wave is an original brand by Rough Time, which previously handled imports of Fodera and other brands in Japan.
It's known for being used by top professionals such as Hideyuki Komatsu, Felix Pastorius, Dominique DiPiazza, and Roberto Valley. (Titles omitted)
This model is the classic MB-5.
The body features a quilted maple top, ash back, and maple fingerboard—specs typical of this style.
The pickups and preamp are original.
Even with aggressive slap techniques, chords remain clear, and the delicate touch of fingerpicking is expressed directly and accurately.
This is undoubtedly a wise choice for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality multi-string bass for live performances, or for players who want to own a rare bass that isn't readily available on the market.
The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of use, with scratches and dents of approximately 1.0-2.0mm. There are also small dents on the neck.
The electronics have crackling noises in the master volume/master tone pots.
The strap pins have been replaced with Jim Dunlop ones.
