Spector is a guitar and bass brand started in 1974 in New York by Stuart Spector.
Initially, Vinny Fodera, who would later found Fodera Guitars, also worked at the Spector workshop.
The brand's NS models gained explosive popularity worldwide, and these were created in collaboration with Ned Steinberger.
This particular instrument is an NS-JH, a very rare bolt-on neck model from their top-of-the-line USA-made line.
The body back is likely alder, and the top features beautifully figured quilted maple.
The neck is 3-piece maple, and the fingerboard appears to be rosewood.
The pickups are EMG, featuring a distinctive single-coil + humbucker configuration.
The preamp is original, a classic combination.
The scale length is 35 inches.
This guitar boasts a perfectly balanced sound with rich, resonant bass and clear, vibrant treble, producing a flawless tone for backing, chord work, and solo playing.
This is an extremely rare instrument, produced in very limited quantities.
Recommended not only for Spector fans, but also for players who love modern guitars like Fodera, MTD, and Ken Smith.
Fret life is approximately 70%.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of use, with scattered scratches and dents. There is a 50.0mm scratch on the body top, resulting in paint chipping. There are also areas near the neck pickup where the wood has been worn down by approximately 15.0mm and 30.0mm.
The electronics are in good condition.
The strap pins have been extended. The bridge pickup mounting screws have been replaced. The end pin position has been changed, and a screw hole is present where the original was.
