Aria Pro II is an international brand that has been active since the early days of guitar making in Japan.
This model is the SB, a flagship model of Aria Pro II.
One of the greatest masterpieces in the history of Japanese guitars has made a comeback.
The SB has been loved by musicians all over the world.
Marcus Miller, Will Lee, Jack Bruce, and John Taylor are known bassists who have used the SB. (Titles omitted)
Currently, the latest model, the SB-1000, is being manufactured.
This model is a signature model of Cliff Burton, the bassist of Metallica.
He was a big fan of this SB series.
Its iconic look and sound will be reproduced in a limited production run in 2026.
It features a neck-through construction, with a 7-piece laminated neck made of maple and walnut.
The beauty of the wood grain, which runs smoothly from the tip of the headstock to the bottom of the bridge, is exceptional.
The fingerboard is rosewood. The standard model uses ebony.
The body is made of ash.
The body shape is designed with weight balance in mind; in fact, the bridge side of the body is thicker than the headstock side.
This shifts the weight balance towards the bridge, resulting in a comfortable balance during playing.
The color is, of course, all black.
The tuning machines are GOTOH GB707, and the bridge is a QHB-1BR.
While the standard model's bridge is also made by GOTOH, this likely recreates the look of the original.
This shows that this is not just a limited edition model with a different color, but a project made with love.
The pickups are dual-coil MB-10E.
The preamp is the familiar B.B. Circuit.
This circuit, which has captivated many bassists, is an active low-pass filter that allows you to freely switch between six different characteristics.
From a warm and thick sound to a bright and attacky sound, the character changes with the switch. Simple yet highly practical, it allows for quick and optimal sound shaping to suit playing style and ensemble.
This filter can be switched on and off with a mini-switch.
Controls include volume, tone, mode selector, and B.B. Circuit bypass switch.
It features a thick, attack-oriented sound with a tight yet smoothly extending sustain.
