The Jazz Bass was released as a higher-end model than the Precision Bass.
Its sharp and clear sound has been loved by many bassists for a long time, and it continues to receive overwhelming support today, recognized as a classic.
This model is a 1998 American Deluxe Jazz Bass V, which has become increasingly popular recently.
This particular instrument has undergone several practical passive modifications.
The body is made of alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is made of pau ferro.
Despite being a 5-string, it features a dinky-shaped body that is easy to handle.
This particular instrument has been modified to a passive specification.
The pickups have been replaced with Grinning Dogs pickups, and the controls have also been changed to a passive specification.
Accordingly, the potentiometers, capacitors, wiring, and control plate have been replaced.
Compared to the original active specifications, it has a more powerful, characteristic Jazz Bass low end and a slightly scooped midrange, resulting in a natural and easy-to-handle sound.
Furthermore, the Hipshot tuners and pickup covers have been replaced.
It has a powerful sound with strong lows and attacky highs, typical of Fender, but also a slightly tighter, more manageable, and well-balanced feel.
