The Precision Bass was the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, instantly captivating bassists worldwide.
Its brilliance remains unchanged and it continues to be loved even more than half a century after its creation.
This model is part of the Made in Japan series, which started under a new system after the closure of Fender Japan.
While maintaining the high quality unique to Japan, it incorporates more specifications and concepts from the American original than ever before.
This model is based on the early specifications called ""Original Precision Bass,"" which predates the current split-coil specification.
The body is made of basswood.
The body has been refinished in black.
The neck and fingerboard are made of maple.
It is equipped with Vintage-Style Single-Coil Precision Bass pickups.
The pickguard has been replaced. This bass boasts a thick, full sound and the crisp attack characteristic of single-coil pickups.
Despite its simple controls, it produces a powerful bass sound that excels in various genres, including rock and blues.
The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
