Ibanez is a leading Japanese guitar brand, globally renowned alongside Fender and Gibson.
The SR series is a long-running series, highly regarded worldwide for its well-balanced combination of a slim body and neck with powerful electronics.
This particular instrument is the SRFF806, a 6-string bass with fanned frets that stands out even among the SR series.
The body is made of ash, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
The neck is a laminate of jatoba and bubinga.
This technique of laminating multiple woods together to create the neck reduces left-right and individual differences, resulting in greater stability.
The pickups are Bartolini BH1, and the preamp is original.
The sound produced by the Ibanez custom preamp and Bartolini BH1 pickups is characterized by a tight low end and wide range.
The sound is balanced by the rich, full midrange typical of Bartolini pickups, creating a pleasingly resonant sound.
