Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, and Michael League. (Titles omitted)
The Precision Bass, the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, instantly captivated bassists worldwide.
Its brilliance remains unchanged and beloved even more than half a century after its creation.
Fender Japan started in the 1980s as a Japanese-made Fender brand, but unfortunately, it has now been discontinued and integrated into Fender itself.
However, the brand's reliable quality is still supported by many artists and continues to be in demand in the market.
This is the "PB62-78US," a top-of-the-line model from that era.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
This is a classic combination that produces the rich midrange and solid bottom end characteristic of the Precision Bass.
The body color is a beautiful, deep, and vibrant Old Lake Placid Blue (OLB).
This higher-end model features VINTAGE PU (USA) pickups, utilizing genuine USA-made parts.
The bridge is the classic upgrade part, the BADASS II.
The sound is unmistakably Precision Bass-like, characterized by a thick, gritty low-to-low-mid range.
You can experience the pure, classic Fender tone that solidly supports the foundation of any ensemble.
Both in terms of looks and sound, this is a high-quality instrument that embodies the meticulous craftsmanship of the time, making it ready to play immediately.
The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork have scattered dents throughout. There is also some tarnishing on the metal parts.
The electronics are in good condition.
The bridge has been replaced with a BADASS BASS II.
