Music Man emerged as Leo Fender's second brand and became beloved by bassists worldwide.
Many artists, including Louis Johnson and Flea, are known to use their basses. (Titles omitted)
The StingRay is a classic model that enjoys overwhelming popularity within the brand.
It's no exaggeration to say that, alongside Fender's Jazz Bass and Precision Bass, it's one of the most popular basses in the world.
This particular bass was manufactured in 2000.
The body is made of ash, and the neck and fretboard are made of maple.
A beautiful, subtle flame pattern is visible on the back of the neck.
The pickups and preamp are original.
It features a 3-band EQ.
Its distinctive design features a single humbucking pickup mounted at the bridge.
The unique sound, with its powerful, punchy bass and treble, can only be achieved with this bass.
It's a legendary instrument that anyone playing funk or nuanced music should try at least once. The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck shows some warping up to the 24th fret. It is playable without problems at 2.7mm string tension (4th string) and 2.2mm string tension (1st string).
The body and paintwork show a small dent of about 0.3mm on the horn. There is a scratch of about 1cm on the side of the body (jack side). There is slight discoloration due to sun exposure. The metal parts show some tarnishing.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
