Its sharp, clear sound is loved by many bassists, and it continues to receive overwhelming support and shines brightly even today.

This is a 1979 Jazz Bass.

It has been converted to fretless.

The CTS pot date is ""1377918 (18th week of 1979)"".

The neck pickup date is ""53179"".

The headstock serial number is ""S855804"".

Based on other specifications such as the wood, we determined it was manufactured in 1979.

The body is made of ash, and the fingerboard is rosewood.

The vibrant sunburst finish is striking, a testament to the original light-colored ash wood.

The pickups are original gray bobbins, but the coil colors differ between the neck and bridge pickups, suggesting the possibility of rewounding.

The capacitors appear to be original Blue Molded Capacitors.

The electronic components appear to be original, but there are signs of resoldering on the two volume pots.

The heavy ash body contributes to a low center of gravity and a deep, resonant tone.

This bass delivers the beautiful, deep sound that bassists expect from a fretless Jazz Bass.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

There are minor scratches and dents on the body and paintwork. There is a 2-3cm square paint chip near the strap pin at the body end. There are sticker-like marks on the pickguard. There is noticeable plating wear on the control plate. The electronics are in good condition.
This is a fretless modified bass.
The neck pickup volume and bridge pickup volume controls have been swapped.
