While the company boasts many iconic models such as the SBV, SG, and BB, the TRB series is equally beloved.
This is the TRB1005J, a 5-string model.
The body is a laminate of maple and alder.
The neck is a 5-piece laminate type composed of maple and nato.
Lamination reduces individual variations and eliminates extreme wood characteristics, making it less prone to drastic warping.
In this sense, this design is extremely useful in a price range where it's not possible to select only the highest quality woods.
The fingerboard is rosewood.
The pickups are Yamaha's original hum-canceling single-coils, and the preamp is also a Yamaha original.
The modern body design boasts a refined balance, producing excellent playability and superior string vibration.
