Tokai is a Japanese manufacturer of various musical instruments.

In particular, their guitars and basses are highly popular both domestically and internationally, representing the pinnacle of Japanese vintage instruments.

They continue to manufacture instruments today, and their products are highly regarded by users.

This is the Talbo, one of Tokai's flagship models.

This is a reissue from around the 2000s, based on the original model produced in small quantities in the 1980s.

The most distinctive feature of this model is the use of a one-piece aluminum alloy body.

It features a beautiful chrome plating, giving it a sophisticated, mechanical look that reflects stage lights.

The highly rigid metal body minimizes string vibration loss, resulting in a tight, agile response and rich sustain with minimal decay.

The neck is made of maple, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood.

It is equipped with the original Tokai TB-8AL pickup.

Each string has an independent pickup structure, resulting in excellent string separation and maintaining the clarity of each note even when playing chords or fast passages.

The preamp has been replaced with a Delano Sonar 3.

Based on the sharp treble derived from the aluminum body and the deep lows from high-quality electronics, the independent pickups ensure a strong midrange.

As a result, the sharp attack in slap and pick techniques remains clear, and the bass line stands out clearly even in intricate ensembles, resulting in a practical sound.

A masterpiece combining an overwhelming visual impact with a well-thought-out acoustic structure.

This bass perfectly matches the style of players seeking a linear, clear tone and a unique presence unlike any other.

Fret life is approximately 60%.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck shows a slight forward bow towards the 1st string, but it is currently playable with a G string tension of 2.0mm and an E string tension of 2.5mm. There is a crack at the mounting point of the 4th string tuning peg, but this does not affect normal use.

The body and paintwork show minor scratches on the pickguard and throughout the body.

The electronics are in good condition.

The preamp has been replaced with a Delano.
