G&L is known as the third brand created by Leo Fender after Fender and Music Man.
Tom Hamilton (Aerosmith) and Murphy Karges (Sugar Ray) are famous bassists who use G&L basses. (Titles omitted)
This model is a G&L JB type.
It's a reproduction of the style created by Leo Fender.
The body is alder, and the fingerboard is maple.
The neck is quarter-sawn maple, which is a distinctive feature.
The pickups are original Alnico V Single Coil.
It basically has a vintage feel, but with a somewhat more powerful nuance.
It powerfully shakes the speaker unit, and the sound image is thick and expansive.
Traditional and hot.
Highly recommended.
The frets have approximately 60% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show minor scratches. There are dents on the back of the neck near the 1st and 2nd frets. There is also discoloration on the side of the fretboard, suggesting wear, and scratches on the end of the fretboard, likely from picking. The headstock has dents on the surface and a filled-in hole on the back.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
