Navigator is a brand within the globally renowned ESP Group, primarily responsible for manufacturing traditional models.
Its sound, produced through meticulous handcrafting and carefully selected tonewoods, is highly regarded by players both domestically and internationally.
This model is a traditional JB-style bass.
The body is likely alder, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
Unusually for alder, it features a vibrant red finish that allows the wood grain to show through.
The pickups are original.
As this is a one-off model, it's impossible to say for certain whether any parts were replaced later, but the 4-string tuning machines are HIPSHOT/BT2, the bridge is BADASS BASS II, and the strap pins are Jim Dunlop.
There are also visible screw holes for pickup fence mounting.
The sound produced by these traditional wood materials is characterized by a thick, supple midrange and a pleasant sustain.
