Sire became famous for releasing basses supervised by Marcus Miller.
The quality of their guitars and basses is extremely high, and they are highly regarded not only by Marcus Miller fans but also by a wider audience.
This is the new V7 Ash-4 Reissue.
The "Reissue" seems to mean that production of this model, which had been stopped due to a shortage of Swamp Ash since 2021, is being resumed.
It seems that a relatively large number of these were available in Japan, but perhaps we were lucky.
Some models use Poplar Burl for the top wood, resulting in an exotic look.
The natural look of Ash is also wonderful, so please choose the one you prefer.

The neck is made of normal maple, not roasted.
This is a matter of personal preference, but I think many people will welcome this specification.
The finish of the fretboard and frets is outstanding.
At this price point, and even compared to higher-priced models, it boasts a high level of quality.
It features a tight yet harmonically rich and powerful sound with a moderate amount of compression.
While it's certainly suitable for those aiming for a Marcus Miller-esque sound, it's also a model I highly recommend trying for anyone simply looking for a high-quality Jazz Bass.
