Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.
It's loved by countless top artists, including James Jamerson, Bobby Vega, and Michael League. (Titles omitted)
The Precision Bass, introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, has been loved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.
Fender Japan started in the 1980s as a Japanese-made Fender brand, but unfortunately, it has now been discontinued and integrated into Fender itself.
However, the brand's quality continues to be supported by many artists and remains in demand.
This is a Mustang Bass from the Fender Japan era.
The body is made of basswood, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
It features a compact body and a 30-inch short scale, giving it an overall small and cute look.
The pickups are original.
While a lack of bass might be a concern, in reality, the increased string amplitude compared to a long-scale guitar results in a fat and distinctive sound.
The bouncy playing feel created by the looser string tension is also appealing.
Fret life is approximately 80%.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition. The bridge is designed so that strings cannot be strung through the front.
The body and paintwork show some minor scratches, but are generally clean. There are traces of screw holes, likely for a finger rest.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.
