Description & Condition

Fender is, of course, the number one brand of electric guitars and basses.

It's loved by countless top artists, including Jaco Pastorious, Marcus Miller, and Geddy Lee. (Titles omitted)

The Precision Bass, introduced in 1951 as the world's first fretted solid-body electric bass, has been loved by bassists worldwide for over half a century.

Fender Japan started in the 1980s as a Japanese-made Fender, but unfortunately, it has now been discontinued and integrated into Fender itself.

However, the brand's quality is still supported by many artists and continues to be in demand.

This particular instrument appears to be a custom-ordered PBD-57 model.

The neck pocket has the inscriptions "ORDER" and "K-164".

The neck heel has a handwritten "3-3 92" and a stamp that reads "PBD-57".

Based on these points, we have determined it to be a custom model.

The body is made of alder, and the neck and fingerboard are made of 1-piece maple. The color code is unknown, but it's likely Indigo Purple Metallic.

The pickups are original.

A Badass II bridge is installed.

There's no evidence of the bridge being replaced; it appears to have been installed from the beginning.

This bass features a powerful low end characteristic of Fender Precision Basses, combined with an open midrange produced by the alder body and maple fretboard.

With its unchanging standard specifications, it fits all genres, including R&B, rock, and pop.

Approximately 70% of the frets remain.

The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed.

The neck is in good condition.

The body and paintwork have scratches and dents. There is also a crack near the jack on the pickguard.

The electronics are in good condition.

The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller type pins.
