Provision Guitar is a handmade brand based in Yamaguchi Prefecture that manufactures high-quality guitars.
It's known for being used by professional musicians such as Naoto Tada, Takayoshi Negishi, Ken Taneda, and Kazuya Kojima (back number).
Personally, I find the high quality of their Fender-style basses particularly appealing.
This is a model displayed at Sound Messe in Osaka 2026.
As you can see, it's a practical instrument based on the Jaguar Bass, but finished in a JB style.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood, a very classic construction.
The finish is an ultra-thin all-lacquer, finished with their renowned relic treatment.
The quality is top-class, as you can see.
The coloring also contributes to its beauty, and it looks even better in person.
The tuning machines and bridge are GOTOH relic-finished. (FB30lLP/RELIC, VTB-4RELIC)
The pickups are Provision originals designed with feedback from professional musicians in mind, the pots are CTS 250KA, and the jack is a Switchcraft #11 – a perfect combination.
The capacitors are ceramic capacitors.
The sound is captivating, with an overwhelmingly rich low end and a crisp attack.
The strong, bouncy response to large string vibrations is very realistic, and will likely feel familiar to those who love vintage Fenders.
While simply being a highly refined 5-string passive JB, it also has a distinctive look.
This kind of balanced design is a testament to the brand's inherent strength.
Highly recommended.
As this is a show model, there are some minor scratches.
Please understand.
GIB's craftsmen will adjust it for easy playability before delivery.
