Black Smoker is a handmade brand launched in 2016 by BLACK CLOUD, a workshop in Azumino City, Nagano Prefecture.
The instruments, crafted by two highly experienced builders, are supported by numerous professional musicians, including Shunsuke Ochi, Futoshi Sakai, and Ren Yamamoto.
This model is a 5-string passive JB-type bass from the TRAD MASTER series.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
This is a classic combination that produces a rich midrange.
All finishes are lacquer, and a beautiful aging process has been applied.
Not only the look, but also the sound and playability have a traditional feel.
The pickups are original.
The hardware is made by GOTOH.
The sound, with its rich low end, is extremely useful for positioning the bass in a typical bass style.
Furthermore, it possesses the attack-oriented high frequencies characteristic of a JB-type bass, giving it a strong presence in an ensemble.
This 5-string bass is appealing for its strong E-string punch and the open, playable feel of a 4-string bass.
The frets have approximately 90% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
As this is a relic model, the body and finish originally have some dents, minor scratches, and weather checking. There are no obvious scratches or dents that appear to be new.
The electronics are in good condition.
No obvious modifications were observed.

Instruments purchased from our store are eligible for lifetime free "String Vibration Setup" (normally ¥4,400). (Reservation required)
・Please present your warranty card with your name filled in.
・Only applicable to the person who purchased the instrument at a GIB or TONIQ physical store or online shop.
・Please bear the cost of shipping and other miscellaneous expenses.
●Re-purchase Price Guarantee
If you sell your purchased item within 6 months of purchase, we guarantee the buyback price. The price is 50% for new items and 70% for used items.
●Defect Warranty
Basic Co., Ltd. provides a warranty against defects for products sold by the company. With the exception of some items such as consigned goods, we will repair (or refund if repair is not possible) any malfunctions that occur during normal use within a certain warranty period from the date of purchase free of charge.
The warranty period is 3 months for used products and 1 year for new products.
Please note that the following cases will incur a charge even within the warranty period:
* Malfunctions and damage caused by transportation, movement, dropping, etc.
* Replacement of consumables.
* Malfunctions and damage caused by fire, earthquake, salt damage, gas damage, or abnormal voltage.
* Malfunctions and damage caused by handling contrary to the precautions described in the instruction manual.
* Malfunctions or damage to parts repaired or modified by a party other than our company.
* If the warranty certificate does not have your name, model name, serial number, etc. filled in, or if the wording has been altered.
* If the warranty certificate is not presented or is lost.
