Description & Condition
Sire became famous for releasing basses supervised by Marcus Miller. (Titles omitted)
The quality of their guitars and basses is extremely high, and they have gained strong support not only from Marcus Miller fans but also from a wider audience.
This is the latest model, the "New Generation" PJ bass, P7 5-String.
While maintaining a traditional style, it incorporates modern specifications throughout, such as active circuitry, Luminlay, newly adopted stainless steel frets, and lightweight hardware.
The body is made of North American Alder.
The neck is made of 34-inch scale Roasted Hard Maple, and the fingerboard is made of Ebony.
The binding and block inlays give it a vintage feel.
The fingerboard edges are smoothly rounded with an Edgeless finish, making it suitable for players who prefer smooth fingering.
Most players will likely have a positive impression of this specification.
The fingerboard radius is 9.5 inches, in line with modern styles.
Furthermore, the frets are made of stainless steel, offering superior durability and a fast attack.
The pickups are the Marcus Super-PJ Revolution Pickup set, specially set up for this instrument.
The fat attack of the split-coil pickups and the tight response of the single-coil pickups are combined to produce a three-dimensional and expressive sound.
The preamp is a Marcus Heritage-3.
The 3-band EQ with a middle frequency allows for detailed tone shaping.
It boasts a rich midrange base, combined with the thick, powerful push characteristic of the PJ layout and clear, punchy highs.
From the rugged rock sound of the neck pickup alone to the edgy, modern tone with the bridge pickup added, you can access any tone you need at your fingertips.
For players who love the traditional P-bass sound but don't want to compromise on the wide frequency range of a 5-string and the flexibility of tone shaping required in live performances, this is undoubtedly a reliable partner.
