Sadowsky is a high-end New York brand with top musicians like Marcus Miller and Will Lee as clients.

Previously, the Metroline was manufactured in Japan, but as Warwick took over the distribution of Sadowsky products, manufacturing moved to the Warwick factory in Germany.

There were concerns about a decline in quality, as the Japanese-made Metroline was highly regarded, but judging from the actual instrument, these concerns seem unfounded.

Compared to the Japanese-made model, the neck feels slightly thinner, and there are differences in the curvature of the body joint.

When Sadowsky NYC released its single-cutaway model, it generated considerable buzz.

That model was very expensive and is now rarely available, so it didn't become widespread.

Given these circumstances, the release of a single-cutaway model from the Metroline line is a welcome development.

By joining the neck to the body at a shallower point than the double-cutaway model, strength is increased and string vibration is controlled.

It features a stronger fundamental tone and a smoother attack.

A unique feature is the mid-boost preamp, similar to the Will Lee model.

Controls include volume, balancer, tone (with active/passive switch), treble/bass, and a mid-boost switch.

The acoustic design beautifully optimizes string vibration, resulting in superior playability and sound.
