ZON has several models, but this is the SONUS, which incorporates a classic style.

Unlike the LEGACY, which has a set-neck construction, the SONUS has a bolt-on neck joint.

It has a quick response and attack, and can be said to be a model that consciously aims for a somewhat Fender-like sound.

The body top uses beautiful figured maple, and the body back uses 2-piece alder.

The neck is made of carbon fiber, and the fingerboard is phenowood, a combination typical of the brand.

Phenowood is a wood laminate made by impregnating multiple layers of wood with black dye and a hardening resin, then compressing it at high heat.

The wood's expansion and contraction rate is extremely small, resulting in stability far superior to that of ordinary wood.

The pickups are Bartolini 72MV5K, and the preamp is a Bartolini NTMB.

While producing a clear and transparent sound, it never sounds inorganic; the combination with high-quality wood materials results in a sound rich in harmonics.

The quick and crisp response produced by the carbon neck and phenowood fingerboard is another major attraction.

The frets have approximately 90% remaining.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck shows some upward bowing, but with the string height adjusted to 2.5mm for the G string and 3.0mm for the E string at the 12th fret, it is playable without any problems.

The body and paintwork have scattered dents and buckle scratches.

The electronics are in good condition.

The only clear modifications are the trimmer and the middle frequency switch, which have been replaced by GIB.
