This product has been leveled using PLEK.
The string height at the 12th fret is 1.5mm for the G string and 2.0mm for the E string (2.3mm for the Low-B string).
OOPEGG is a high-end guitar brand born in Japan in 2019.
Since its establishment, the brand has achieved global success both domestically and internationally.
Due to extremely limited production numbers, it is not widely available.
However, it is highly regarded by many world-class professional musicians, and its popularity continues to grow.
In fact, it is used by renowned musicians such as Bruno Mars, his bassist Jamareo Artis, and Shawn Stockman (Boyz II Men). (Titles omitted)
The Supreme Collection, described as "neo-bizarre," is a semi-custom order series that boasts original designs that are not bound by existing formats such as Fender or Gibson.
This model is a Stormbreaker Bass.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is made of rosewood.
The neck is a 5-piece laminated neck of maple and mahogany.
This technique of laminating multiple pieces of wood together reduces left-right and individual differences, resulting in greater stability.
The scale length is 31 inches.
Fender Jazz Basses have a 34-inch scale length. Gibson EB-3s and Fender Mustang Basses use scale lengths of around 30 inches.
While it uses a relatively short scale length, it still exhibits a loose, loud low-end nuance similar to basses with shorter scale lengths.
However, the playability doesn't feel difficult due to this.
The headstock angle and bridge bend angle were apparently researched extensively, resulting in a finish that feels natural to those accustomed to playing 34-inch basses.
The bridge is an original design and manufactured in Greece.
By being custom-made and making fine adjustments to the woodworking, it provides the player with the appropriate tension.
The tuning machines are HIPSHOT Ultralite lollipop.
There's a reason for using lightweight tuners; this setup provides excellent weight balance.
The frets are medium jumbo size, and Luminlay frets are mounted on the sides. While the design is retro, the use of modern technology makes it truly neo-bizarre.
The neck pickup is a Guild BS-1 Bisonic, and the bridge pickup is a Serek LZN-B90 Single Coil.
Combining pickups from different brands is not common among bass brands, and could be considered unique to OOPEGG.
Even so, the excellent balance achieved in the mix is a testament to the designer's skill.
The controls include neck pickup volume/tone, bridge pickup volume/tone, and a 4-way rotary switch.
The switch options are neck, neck + bridge, neck + bridge (passive filtered), and bridge.
The neck pickup has a deep tone, while the bridge pickup is crisp and powerful.
Even with the mix of settings, the balance is excellent, and with the filter applied, the low-frequency quantity is skillfully controlled.
In some studios or ensembles, the low frequencies might feel too prominent, but this filter will be useful in those situations.
A unique and exceptional item, rarely released by brands that purely focus on bass production.
We want many people to experience this.
GIB's craftsmen will adjust it for easy playability before delivery.
