Woofy Basses is GIB's original brand.

The reason we launched this brand is because, while running our store, we were often asked for bass recommendations, and we needed a brand we could confidently recommend.

Brands like Yamaha, Ibanez, Bacchus, and Fender are excellent, but because they are not our own brands, we don't have complete control over them. (We don't carry all of these brands.)

Therefore, we needed to create a bass that we could wholeheartedly recommend with confidence.

First, we participated in trade shows in China to find a factory that offered a good balance of price and quality, and negotiated directly with them.

After comparing many factories, we contracted with one that possessed high technical capabilities.

We have already jointly manufactured over 2000 basses, and based on that experience, we implement thorough quality control.

After manufacturing in China, we conduct multiple rigorous quality inspections.

Only basses that pass inspections twice in China and once in Japan are stocked for sale.

After import, our specialist staff perform the final assembly in Japan, and we inspect each instrument again before shipping.

The ONE series focuses on a lower price range, making it especially recommended for beginners.

While we don't claim it's the same as high-end basses, it was designed to provide a reliable instrument for those buying their first 5-string bass or those just starting out.

The Hank 5 M is a modern model based on the 5-string JB style.

It aims to have a wide tonal range, be easy to play, and produce a powerful sound.

For beginners, the most important thing is playability (ease of playing).

If this isn't guaranteed, you won't be able to play the phrases you want because of the instrument. It becomes an instrument problem, not a lack of practice.

For beginners who can't distinguish between lack of practice and an instrument problem, this is extremely important.

The nut, neck curvature, string height, and pickup height, which all affect playability, are carefully adjusted one by one in Japan by our specialist staff.

We adjust each bass assuming the buyer is a beginner, so you can start practicing with confidence from the moment you receive it.

We perform adjustments on high-end models costing over 1 million yen, adjustment requests from professional musicians, and adjustments on Woofy Basses all with the same level of care.
We do not cut costs in terms of labor.

However, many people may be concerned about the fretwork on basses in this price range.
In reality, many instruments with reduced costs have poorly finished frets, which can make them difficult to play.

That's why all Woofy Basses products are inspected by GIB's expert staff.

We perform thorough setups and sell them in a condition where you can comfortably play them from the day you receive them.

Furthermore, while pursuing cost-effectiveness, we do not compromise on important parts that directly affect sound and playability.

In particular, we are very particular about the pickups, which are the microphones that capture string vibrations.

We prioritize clear and distinct sound production.

This makes the performance clearer and easier to hear, and allows for a well-balanced sound within the ensemble.

While it may not be suitable for professional stage use, we offer a reliable product for beginners.

We do not engage in secondary distribution (wholesale).

By limiting sales to direct sales from GIB, we pursue maximum quality while keeping prices down.
