Description & Condition
Meridian Guitars is a handmade bass brand based in Avezzano, Italy.
Builder Davide Cardone's basses boast a stylish, artistic design and a unique individuality.
He is committed to using the highest quality wood, seasoned over many years.
He maximizes the beauty of the wood without compromising its tonewood quality, expressing it fully on the bass.
His philosophy regarding wood extends to the hardware as well; top-of-the-line components from Delano, Bartolini, and HIPSHOT are combined according to the concept of each model.
The J-24 model features a double-cutaway body, incorporating classic characteristics.
A masterpiece combining a beautifully streamlined body, exquisite tonewood, and high-quality hardware.
The body back is made of Black Limba, and the top is made of Myrtle Burl.
Chambered construction provides a more complex sound while also resulting in a lightweight finish.
The beauty of Myartle Burl is undeniable.
It fully expresses the unique charm of wood, something that cannot be artificially replicated.
The fingerboard is Bolivian Rosewood, and the neck is Maple.
The pickups are Delano Times Square.
These pickups are truly superb Delano masterpieces. They have a wide dynamic range, very clear bass frequencies, and yet possess a warm texture.
The preamp is a John East.
The bridge is a Hipshot Style A 19mm, and the tuning machines are also Hipshot Ultralite.
The playing feel is very light, yet the sound produced is rich and full-bodied.
The low noise and refined sound image strongly suggest the high quality of the electronics, and on top of that, a straightforward and unadulterated character is strongly felt.
It's not bland at all, but captivating.
Like its appearance, it has a very elegant yet aggressive sound.
Having worked with many excellent Italian brands, Meridian is just as authentic as them. It's a top-tier bass brand.
