dragonfly is a Japanese guitar and bass brand with a long history.

They manufacture high-quality products using the knowledge and technology they have cultivated with musicians.

They are loved by many musicians, and Teyan Tetsuya of Fear.and loathing in Las Vegas has been using the brand's basses for many years.

There are several models of dragonfly, but this model is the SHB 5, which uses a single-cut body design.

The bridge is specially ordered from GOTOH, made entirely from machined brass, and weighs 270g.

The standard version is made of die-cast zinc and steel, and weighs 198g.

The appearance is almost the same, but it is a perfect bridge that matches the concept of dragonfly.

The body back is made of lightweight Ash, and the top is made of Spalted Chestnut.

This Spalted Chestnut is a truly beautiful wood, with complex and deep grain, and the whole is white and transparent.

The neck is a 5P laminate type with a maple core.
The technique of making the neck by gluing multiple pieces of wood together is intended to reduce left-right and individual differences and achieve higher stability.

The fingerboard is Pau Ferro.

The frets are stainless steel frets designed in-house.
In fact, dragonfly is also a pioneer in the full-scale introduction of stainless steel frets to its own basses.

The original preamp is attractive because it doesn't become strangely boomy even when boosted.
The BASS band is a little higher at 60Hz, which seems to match modern bassists.

The sound has a traditional nuance and sincerely fulfills the role of the bass required in an ensemble.
It is characterized by its straightforward responsiveness, and I think it is a sound that can be used in any genre.

Approximately 80% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The condition of the neck is within the appropriate setting range with no significant warping or twisting, and the playability is also good.
The body and painted surface have noticeable dents in the wood near the joint screw on the back of the body, but other parts are in clean condition.
