【new】PRS / Grainger 4 String Bass BL 4.125kg #342953【GIB Yokohama】【Signed by Paul Reed Smith】

PRS is a new era standard guitar brand along with Fender and Gibson.

The beautiful guitars and basses they manufacture are known to be used by top musicians around the world, including Rhonda Smith, John Mayer, and Al Di Meola.

This model is PRS's flagship model, the CORE series Grainger bass, which is finished using the highest level of technology.

This is a masterpiece loved by many bassists, and is also the signature model of Gary Grainger, known for his work with top musicians such as John Scofield.

Previously, it was only made in the ultra-luxury line Private Stock, but now it is also made in CORE.
For CORE's Gainer bass, I had many sessions with many musicians.

As a result, even higher usability is achieved while maintaining the quality of private stock to the maximum extent possible.

In other words, I feel that it is more true to describe it as an updated version rather than a cheaper version of private stock.

The scale is 34 inches, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood, making it a familiar choice for bassists who are used to playing Fenders.

On the other hand, the body is made of mahogany back and maple top, and the top is finished with an elegant curved top typical of PRS.
The neck is jointed with a set neck, which is a Gibson-like nuance.

The bridge is original, but it is said to be inspired by vintage style.
Although it looks like a traditional spiral saddle, we aim for more stable tuning performance by adjusting the height of the ball end and the distance to the saddle.

A custom model made by GOTOH is used for the pegs.
The movement is incredibly smooth and you can feel the high quality.

The metal parts have a beautiful contrast between brass and chrome, and you could say this is typical of PRS.

The PU is the original rail pole piece humbucking type, the preamp is original, and it is equipped with a 3-band EQ.
Controls are 2 volumes, 1 tone + 3 band EQ.
Each volume goes into passive mode when pulled up, and only the PU that is pulled up is turned on. (Both are ON when both are pulled up)

The PU surface is smooth and can be used like a finger lamp.
It feels like it was thoughtfully designed.

The basic sound is very smooth with plenty of low end and beautiful overtones.
Although the sound is different from Fender or Gibson, there is no doubt that it has universal value that is loved by all ensembles.

Passive mode has a thick sound, perfect for old school music.
The beautiful and powerful sound of active mode will fit into modern ensembles.

This is a high-quality product that embodies why PRS has an overwhelming reputation as one of the world's best brands.

Please try it once.
