【new】Anaconda Basses / Ultra J5 Essence - Satin Black #23000060V2 4.235kg【GIB Yokohama】

Anaconda Basses is a UK-based bass brand that has received exceptional acclaim in recent years, especially in Europe and the United States.

The Ultra J4 Essence released around 2019 won an award from the prestigious bass media (Bass Guitar Magazine), and the Ultra J5 Essence and Ultra J6 Essence were released in 2020 with full anticipation.

In 2023, all models will be completely redesigned to achieve even higher quality.

The scale is 34.5 inches, the same as the F-Bass BN5 and other models.
The scale is 0.5" longer than usual to obtain tightness, especially on the low B string, which makes it less loose and nuanced.
Nevertheless, the G string is not too tight and has a flexible nuance.

The slightly thicker C-shape neck is designed with a flatter D-shape as it goes to the high frets.
The thumb position can be changed smoothly, and the shaping is not merely uniform, but organic, which again gives the impression of meaning.

The neck incorporates two carbon fiber rods for strength.
I feel that if the neck is too strong, the low B and E strings can get too rambunctious, but this seems to be solved by the scale setting.

The pickups, named AC5-TN, are the original design.
It has a wide range with just the right amount of compression and an abundant midrange.
The hum canceling design and low noise are also major attractions of this pickup.

The preamp to be used with the AC5-TN pickups is also the original AC3-TZ Active 3-Band Preamp.
Controls are volume/passive tone, balancer, middle (push-pull frequency band switching 250/800 Hz) treble/bass.

The character of this preamp is very unique and of high quality.
It outputs the vast low end, crisp middle, and punchy treble that bassists need.

Many gospel and R&B bassists can be found using this preamp, which is understandable after listening to the sound.
The sound is truly a BASS CHOPS nuance.

The overall design is well-designed, and the performance is excellent at a high dimension.
This is a manufacturer with a next-generation feel, including manufacturing methods and materials.

This bass is highly regarded worldwide, so please give it a try if you like.
