【new】Sire / Z7-4 MINT 4.220kg #2N26920361【GIB Yokohama】

Sire is a brand that operates under the concept of "providing professional-grade instruments to many players without being constrained by price."

The brand's name quickly became widely known through its bass series created in collaboration with Marcus Miller.

Marcus Miller liked the prototypes shown to him by the Sire team and sent his own instrument to the development team to convey his preferences for tone and playability.

He resonated with the brand's policy of balancing affordability and quality, and agreed to have his name attached to the series.

The resulting Marcus Miller series is supported by bassists worldwide for its quality that far exceeds its price.

This particular instrument is a 4-string Z7, a high-end model in the Z series announced at the 2024 NAMM Show.

The Z series updates classic bass designs in a Sire style.

It's a model aimed at players seeking a rounded body shape and a groovy sound characteristic of humbuckers.

The color is Mint.

The light mint green body is combined with a matching headstock, resulting in a refreshing look. This guitar features an alder body and a hard maple neck and fretboard.

The fretboard has an edgeless (rolled edge) finish, giving it a comfortable, worn-in feel right out of the box.

It has 22 medium jumbo stainless steel frets for superior wear resistance.

The use of stainless steel frets at this price point is a welcome feature.

The pickups are a Sire Premium J+MM set, with a split-type J-type humbucker in the neck position and an MM-type humbucker in the bridge position.

The preamp is a Marcus Heritage-3 with a mid-frequency switch.

Controls include volume/tone, blender, treble, middle/frequency, and bass.

With a powerful, punchy sound characteristic of MM pickups, blending in the J-type pickup allows for a wide range of tonal possibilities.

Whether slapping or fingerstyle, it has a strong presence that won't get lost in a band mix.

The bridge is a Sire Premium MM Bridge, and the nut is made of bone.

The string spacing is a generous 19mm, making it easy to grip the strings even when slapping.

This guitar combines classic style with modern functionality at an affordable price.

Please give it a try.
