【new】Sire / P8-5 NT 5.080kg #2N25480383【GIB Yokohama】

Sire is a brand that operates under the concept of "providing professional-grade instruments to many players without being constrained by price."

The brand's name quickly gained widespread recognition through its bass series created in collaboration with Marcus Miller.

Marcus Miller was so impressed with the prototypes shown to him by the Sire team that he sent his own instrument to the development team to communicate his preferences regarding tone and playability.

He resonated with the brand's philosophy of balancing affordability with quality and agreed to have his name attached to the series.

The resulting Marcus Miller series is supported by bassists worldwide for its quality that far exceeds its price.

This particular instrument is a 5-string P8 model from the Marcus Miller series.

It features a Precision Bass-style body combined with a PJ pickup configuration and an active preamp, and boasts a high-end specification with a Swamp Ash body.

The color is Natural.

The Swamp Ash wood grain is beautifully showcased, complemented by an ivory pearl pickguard.

The neck and fretboard are made of Roasted Maple.

This material is said to have increased rigidity and stability due to its high-temperature processing which evaporates moisture.

The fretboard features an Edgeless (rolled edge) finish, giving it a comfortable, worn-in feel right out of the box.

The neck is adorned with ivory binding and white pearloid block inlays, creating an elegant look.

The pickups are a Marcus Super PJ Revolution set, and the preamp is a Marcus Heritage-3 with a mid-frequency switch.

Controls include volume/tone, balancer, treble, middle/frequency, bass, and an active/passive switch.

From the thick sound characteristic of a PB to a modern sound blended with J-style pickups, the PJ configuration offers a wide range of tones.

The bridge is a Marcus Heavymass II, and the nut is made of bone.

The heavy bridge contributes to sustain and a thick, full tone.

The string spacing is 18mm, which is a standard setting for a 5-string guitar.

This guitar combines the thickness of a PB with modern functionality at an affordable price.

Please give it a try.
