【new】Sire / M6-5 BK Swirl 3.490kg #2N26H20754【GIB Yokohama】

Sire is a brand that operates under the concept of ""providing professional-grade instruments to many players without being constrained by price.""

The brand's name quickly gained widespread recognition through its bass series created in collaboration with Marcus Miller.

Marcus Miller was so impressed with the prototypes shown to him by the Sire team that he sent his own instrument to the development team to communicate his preferences regarding tone and playability.

He resonated with the brand's philosophy of balancing affordability and quality, and agreed to have his name attached to the series.

The resulting Marcus Miller series is supported by bassists worldwide for its quality that far exceeds its price.

This instrument is the M6 5-string, a headless model from the Marcus Miller series.

It features a design that sets it apart from previous Sire models, combining a headless structure with a multi-scale design.

The scale is a multi-scale of 33-35 inches, with a long scale for the Low B string for better tension, and a shorter scale for easier playing on the higher strings.

Being headless, there's no worry about neck dive, and the lightweight design (3.490kg) despite being a 5-string is a welcome feature.

The color is Black Swirl.

A matte black finish with a flowing white marble pattern; each guitar has a unique pattern.

The body material is officially listed as Mahogany and Swamp Ash, but it's not specified which is used in this color.

The neck is a 5-piece construction of Hard Maple and Mahogany, designed for rigidity and stability.

The fingerboard is Rosewood with an Edgeless (rolled edge) finish.

A key feature is the comfortable, worn-in feel right out of the box.

The frets are 24 medium jumbo stainless steel frets, offering excellent wear resistance.

The use of stainless steel frets at this price point is a welcome feature.

The pickups are a Marcus Pure-H Revolution set, and the preamp is a Marcus Heritage-3 with a mid-frequency switch.

The controls include volume/tone, blender, treble, middle/frequency, and bass, plus a switch to change the pickup character.

It boasts the clear, fast attack characteristic of the Marcus Miller series, making it suitable for a wide range of playing styles, from slap to fingerstyle.

The bridge is a Sire Headless Individual Bass Bridge.

Each string has an independent bridge, and tuning is done at the body.

The hardware is uniformly black, giving it a sleek look.

The string spacing is 18mm, a standard setting for a 5-string bass.

This guitar combines modern functionality and a distinctive look at an affordable price.

Please give it a try.
