【used】No Brand / PB Type 4st ESP Plate 3.980kg【GIB Yokohama】

This is a PB-type 4-string bass guitar with no brand markings.

There is no logo on the headstock, but the neck plate is stamped with ""ESP"".

ESP is a Japanese brand based in Tokyo, which started as a supplier of repair and replacement parts, and is now known worldwide for its original models and custom orders.

Based on the stamping on the neck plate, it is believed that this instrument was assembled using ESP parts, but the details, including the origin of the body and neck, are unknown.

The body appears to be alder, but this is not confirmed.

The neck is maple, and the fretboard is rosewood, a classic PB combination.

The color is a creamy white with a white pickguard.

The gold hardware has tarnished with age, giving it a vintage feel.

The pickups are DiMarzio DP122 Model P.

The cream covers also serve as an accent to the appearance.

The DiMarzio DP122 Model P pickup boasts a higher output compared to vintage-style PB pickups, resulting in a thicker, more powerful sound.

It's a long-standing staple as an upgrade pickup for PB basses.

The controls are simple, with just volume and tone, offering the ease of use typical of a PB.

The nut width is 41.8mm, considerably narrower than a typical PB.

The key feature is that it offers the PB sound while being playable on a slimmer neck like a JB.

This is a recommended guitar for those who want to easily enjoy a thick, powerful PB sound on an easy-to-grip neck.

Please give it a try.

Fret life is approximately 30%.

The truss rod is in good condition.

The neck is in good condition.

There are minor scratches on the body and paintwork. There is a dent of approximately 1.8cm on the horn. There are multiple dents and scratches on the body end and body side. An additional screw hole, likely for a strap pin, has been added to the body end. Some tarnish and rust are visible on the metal parts. The gold plating on the neck plate, tuners, and bridge is peeling. There are burn marks on the headstock.

The electronics are in good condition.

No obvious modifications were observed.
