Yamaha has been a pillar of the Japanese guitar industry since its early days; it's essentially Japan's Gibson.
While the company boasts many iconic models such as the SBV, SG, and BB, the TRB series is equally beloved.
The body top is made of flame maple, and the back is alder.
It has an elegant look.
The neck is a 5-piece construction of maple and mahogany, with a rosewood fingerboard.
This technique of laminating multiple pieces of wood to create the neck reduces left-right and individual variations, resulting in greater stability.
The pickups and preamp are original.
The strap pins have been replaced with Jim Dunlop ones.
The modern body design offers a refined balance, and the smooth playability and powerful electronics produce a low-noise sound with a gutsy bass.
