Their amp simulation and IR (Instrument Identification) technology is highly regarded worldwide, and this product fully incorporates that technology.
This is a signature preamp/DI pedal of Melvin Davis, a world-renowned bassist who has supported countless legendary performances.
The frequency ranges of the 3-band equalizer are as follows:
BASS: 40Hz, ±12db
Middle: 160Hz-1000Hz, ±17db
Treble: 8000Hz, ±12db
The midrange frequency is selectable.
The drive sound is not as detailed as distortion, but has a more saturated feel.
It also features a blend control, which can be switched on or off independently.
The IR function is particularly noteworthy in this model.
It features a headphone jack and a balanced output (DI OUT), allowing you to achieve a realistic sound as if you were playing right in front of a bass amplifier.
Many bassists struggle with the cold, thin sound characteristic of line-in connections when practicing at home using headphones, but this pedal provides a monitoring environment close to that of playing with a bass amplifier in a rehearsal studio.
Furthermore, the IR (Instrument Identification Response) can be individually switched on and off for the DI OUT (headphone output) and the normal output.
This is a very useful feature for recording and live performances.
