Vanzandt manufactures high-quality guitars and basses, and is particularly renowned for the quality of its vintage-style production.
This is a traditional 4-string JB model.
The body is made of alder, and the fingerboard is Indian rosewood.
This is a classic combination with a rich midrange.
The pickups have been replaced with Lollar Pickups 70s Jazz Bass 4-String Pickup Set.
A vintage-oriented design.
The pots are CTS and the jack is Switchcraft – a perfect choice.
The sound is characteristic of a JB type, featuring powerful lows and percussive highs.
Yet, it also has the refined impression of a Japanese-made instrument, possessing a charm that goes beyond a mere copy.
This is a superb instrument that we recommend trying for anyone looking for a high-quality Japanese-made 4-string JB.
The frets have approximately 70% remaining.
The truss rod is in good condition.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and paintwork show signs of dents, scratches, and paint peeling.

The pickups have been replaced with GIB Lollar Pickups / 70s Jazz Bass 4-String Pickup Set.
The neck pickup volume pot has also been replaced with a current CTS pot.
