Xotic is a brand founded in LA by Japanese builder Hiro Miura.

The XJ series, a line manufactured in Japan, has been highly regarded, especially among studio workers.

While fundamentally built in the Fender style, several aspects have been updated with modern touches.

The body is made of alder, and the fretboard is rosewood—a classic combination.

The neck is made of roasted maple.

Roasted maple is a wood that gains strong stability by evaporating moisture and oil from within the wood through high-temperature treatment.

Originally used as a building material for saunas in Finland, it is particularly resistant to high temperatures and humidity.

The pickups and preamp are original.

The sound is refined, with sufficient low frequencies and pleasant harmonics.

The playability is extremely high, making it a high-level instrument overall.

Especially for session and studio musicians, there's always a demand for a JB bass that offers modern playability and preamp features while maintaining a traditional sound.

However, there aren't many products that meet this demand in terms of quality.
