The Stingray is a classic model that enjoys overwhelming popularity within the brand.
Alongside Fender's Jazz Bass and Precision Bass, it's safe to say it's one of the most popular basses in the world.

This is a Japanese-made EX model.
A 1997 model.
It features specifications typical of that era, such as a 6-bolt neck joint, a top-load bridge, and a 3-band EQ.

The body is likely made of ash, the neck is maple, and the fingerboard is rosewood.
It is equipped with original humbucking pickups and a 3-band active EQ.

The bridge is the so-called FLEA bridge, mainly used in models from the early 1990s.
The saddle grooves are designed to be deep to suit Flea's aggressive playing style. The StingRay's signature powerful, punchy low end and crisp attack are its main attractions.

With its 3-band EQ, it offers a wide range of sound shaping possibilities, producing a powerful sound in various genres, including rock and funk.
