【used】Sago / Defi fanned frets 5st 4.81kg【GIB Yokohama】

"Sago is a handmade guitar brand based in Hyogo Prefecture, specializing in fully custom-made guitars that fulfill all customer requests.

They also create regular models (though most are one-offs) utilizing the knowledge and skills cultivated over many years, and these are highly regarded.

Sago is a brand that enjoys strong trust from musicians.

Tabuchi-san of UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, RIO-san of Mary's Blood, and Kusakari-san of Sakanaction are among the Sago artists.

This is a custom-ordered original model, the Defi, with a 32-35 inch multi-scale specification.

A notable feature is the generous use of rare woods.

The neck is a 9-piece laminate of maple and wenge.

The fingerboard is made of the rare wood Jacaranda (Brazilian rosewood).

It features a neck-through construction, with keyaki wood for the back of the body wings and claro walnut for the top. Claro walnut is a wood used in high-end furniture, and its appearance is breathtakingly beautiful.

The guitar features two original humbucking pickups.

A mini-switch allows for individual series/tap/parallel switching, enabling a wide range of sound shaping.

This is complemented by an original 4-band EQ preamp.

It's relatively natural, and even when boosted, it doesn't compromise the instrument's original character.

The hardware is also top-notch, with GOTOH GB528 tuning machines and a Hip Shot Solo bridge.

The string spacing is set to a narrow 16.5mm, making it particularly easy to play with fingers.

This also allows for a narrower neck width, which is another advantage.

The sound, as expected from a multi-scale guitar, has a strong fundamental tone and an attractive balance from low to high frequencies.

The smooth, resonant bass notes, like those of a piano, powerfully support the ensemble.

Sago's ability to meticulously specify specifications to meet user needs is unique.
And the ability to beautifully and flawlessly integrate these specifications is a testament to Sago's daily dedication to realizing players' ideals.
This guitar fully demonstrates their high level of technical skill.

The frets have approximately 80% remaining.
The truss rod is stiff, but approximately 90 degrees of movement has been confirmed.
The neck shows a slight upward bow, but it is playable without problems with our standard string height setting of 2.0mm for the G string and 2.5mm for the E string.
The body and paintwork are in beautiful condition with no noticeable scratches.
The electronics are in good working order.
No obvious modifications were found.
