Meridian Guitars is a handmade bass brand based in Avezzano, Italy.

The basses crafted by builder Davide Cardone are known for their sophisticated, artistic designs and unmistakable individuality.

Cardone has a deep appreciation for premium tonewoods that have been seasoned over many years. His instruments showcase the natural beauty of the wood to its fullest while preserving its tonal integrity, resulting in creations that are as visually striking as they are sonically inspiring.

This philosophy extends to the selection of hardware as well. Components from renowned manufacturers such as Delano, Bartolini, and HIPSHOT are carefully chosen and combined to best suit the concept of each individual model.

The "Vimana" is a futuristic headless compact bass named after the flying palaces that appear in ancient Indian mythology.

Its most remarkable feature is its extraordinary portability. With an overall length of just over 70 cm and a weight in the 2 kg range, it achieves an ultra-lightweight and ultra-compact design.

The bass features a multiscale (fanned fret) construction. Despite its extremely short scale length, it delivers excellent string tension balance and accurate pitch across all strings, an impressive achievement in both design and playability.

For the electronics, Meridian has equipped the Vimana with a Delano pickup and preamp system. The result is an exceptionally fast response and clear, articulate sound, carefully designed to complement and balance the unique characteristics of the short-scale format.

Combining outstanding mobility with uncompromising high-end sound quality, this is truly a "portable high-end" instrument in every sense of the phrase.
