Description & Condition
ZON is a bass brand established in 1981.
The brand's designs, which actively adopt new materials such as graphite and phenolic wood, are highly acclaimed and are favoured by the likes of tetsuya and Michael Manring.
ZON has several models, but this LEGACY is one of the biggest favourites!
The body top is Chlora Walnut and the back is Mahogany.
Elegant looks.
The fingerboard is fenwood.
Phenolic wood is made from several layers of laminated wood, impregnated with a black dye and curing resin and compressed at high heat.
The wood itself has a very low expansion and contraction rate and is incomparably more stable than ordinary wood.
The pickups are made by Bartolini.
No matter how high quality the pickups are, if they are not matched with the bass to which they are attached, good results may not be achieved.
Most ZON basses use Bartolini pickups and there is no doubt that they are a good match.
The sound is neat, with a beautiful sound image.
It has a quick response and strong treble, yet is well balanced and sounds really bass-like in an ensemble.
Compared to the Fender-inspired SONUS, the LEGACY is an instrument that incorporates 100% of the ZON concept.
The concept is "a high quality instrument with a neck that doesn't need adjustment and excellent construction".
It was built to look elegant, sound high-quality and feel comfortable in the hand.
The energy that is released at the moment of picking is sure to inspire musicians.
The remaining frets are approximately 70%.
The neck is in good condition.
The condition of the body and paintwork is good overall, with some scratches and dings.
No obvious modifications were found.
