Serial 285, popular early model.

Xotic is a brand founded by Japanese builder Hiro Miura in LA.

In Japan, Yoshiteru Takahashi, BJ of indigo jam unit, Katsuji Morioka and many other famous musicians outside Japan, such as Chuck Rainey, Rhonda Smith and Travis Carlton, are using Xotic products.

The XJ series has been highly regarded, especially by studio workers, as a line manufactured in Japan.
The XJ series is basically built in the Fender manner, but with a few modern updates.

The position of the neck joint is slightly different from normal, and when you hold the instrument you will notice that it is easier to get the left hand into the high position.
This is an arrangement for the modern musician who uses the entire fingerboard fully.

This is a very young serial, popular early XJ1T.
It has a classic construction with an alder body and rosewood fingerboard.

We can't be sure as there is no printing, but the features suggest the PU is a Lindy Fralin.

The pre-amp is a Tri Logic.
This is really natural and allows for impedance conversion and flexible sound creation without significantly altering the passive sound.
It has a gain setting that allows you to change the volume between active and passive, or make it louder (or quieter).

No mini-switch on the body top, clean body top.
A push-pull on the volume allows bypassing the pre-amp and switching the PU wiring (series/parallel).

Middle freqency switch and gain setting can be set from the back panel.

The playing feel is smooth and you can feel the high level of playability.
The sound is neatly integrated and can be used in all situations without any worries.

Approx. 70% frets remaining.
The truss rod is in good working order.
Neck is in good condition. The grips have been played and are darkened. The head has a number of minor dents.
The body and paintwork are in good condition, with a scattering of scratches and 1-5 mm dents. There are many scratches, especially near the jack. The pickup height adjustment screws are rusted, but work fine.
No obvious modifications were found.
