Suhr Guitars is synonymous with high-end guitar brands.

Founder John Suhr began his career at the renowned New York shop Rudy's, and was highly acclaimed for his work on Pensa Suhr guitars, amplifier design at CAE, and his work as a master builder at Fender.

Needless to say, he later established his own brand, Suhr Guitars, and his outstanding work there goes without saying.

Guitarists are particularly popular in Japan, and as evidenced by his work at Pensa Suhr and Fender, the basses he builds are also top-notch.

This is the Classic J, a model based on the JB.

The body has a classic ash body and maple fingerboard.

A little unusually, this model features an active circuit.
The pickups are Humphry Suhr 65JBN, and the preamp is likely original and is listed as a JOHN SUHR 99 JST3B.

The tuning machines are HIPSHOT.

The sound, lightly colored by modern hardware, is delivered with superb playability.

The neck is characterized by a neat and beautiful design, and Suhr's quality in this area is truly top-notch.

This is a textbook example of how good hardware, carefully assembled with a beautiful design, naturally produces a great sound.

Approximately 70% of the frets remain.
The truss rod is a little stiff, but has been confirmed to move about 90 degrees.
The neck is in good condition.
The body and finish show numerous paint cracks and dents.
The electrical system is in good condition.
The neck PU volume pot was found to be faulty, so it was replaced by GIB.

The warranty period is three months for used items and one year for new items.
